Nunavut Insurance Brokers is seeking a full-time permanent Office Assistant to work with the Insurance Advisors in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
The Office Assistant will perform general office and reception functions including answering incoming calls, greeting clients, mail and courier distribution and ordering office supplies.
Under the direction of our Insurance Advisors the Office Assistant will process renewal forms and payments on Auto, Home and Tenant policies.
You will need a minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent. Experience in sales and customer service experience is an asset. Fluency in English and Inuktitut language is an asset.
Candidates should have strong oral communication and interpersonal skills, with keen organization skills and attention to detail.

Sourcing, Procurement and Logistics Officer

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be part of the Frobuild team. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated professional with very strong procurement and sourcing skills along with excellent communication and customer service. The successful candidate will work closely with all Frobuild external and internal customers and vendors.
As a 100 % Inuit owned business, priority will be given to Beneficiaries of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement.
Duties:
• Sourcing, Purchasing and Logistics for Frobuild
• Source new vendors
• Edit Lead Times as required
• Monitor all vendor performance and records findings accordingly
• Understand all product lines assigned to purchase, to build the best relationship with the vendors and to ensure all daily commitments to the branches are met including, but not limited to, inventory replenishment and branch requests
• Identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions to meet the customer/branch expectations
• Work with Finance to quickly resolve any A/P to PO variances
• Prepare RFPs and bids, evaluate RFPs and bids, and calculate projected costs and savings
• Evaluate bids and make recommendations
• Able to assess suppliers and the purchasing market in order to more effectually negotiate terms for sourcing contracts
• Assist with contract administration by monitoring and managing supplier delivery and resolving contract compliance issues; recognize and address trends in service delivery or quality of times
• Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives
• Provide customized reports and information to senior management as requested and to assist with the preparation of annual budget requests
• Manage cyclical inventory counts
• Assist in developing/maintaining logistical shipping plans
• Document vendor non-compliance issues
• Assist in developing Frobuild operational, logistical and sourcing strategy, policies and procedures
• Forecast large customer demand and product levels required in different cyclical time periods
• Keep a constant check on stock levels to maximize business efficiency
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service
• General branch duties including sales when required
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will bring the following experience and expertise:
• Minimum grade 12 education will be required, post secondary education in Business Administration would be an asset
• PMAC (Purchasing Management Association of Canada) or SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) Designation is an asset
• Prior experience in the lumber, industrial, or warehousing field in a procurement role is an asset
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Highly organized in prioritizing and multi-tasking
• Ability to read and write French would be an asset
