Nunasi Corporation announces appointment of Vice-President, Health Services

May 17, 2021 – Nunasi Corporation President and CEO Clint Davis is pleased to announce the appointment of Maggie Putilik as the Vice-President, Health Services. Maggie, who is Inuk and originally from Kangirsuk, Nunavik, has over ten years working in the area of Health Services. Maggie also has immediate family ties in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut.

Most recently, Maggie was the Director of the Out-Of-Region Services for the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS) managing the Insured Non-Insured Health Benefits program (INIHB). Prior to this role, Maggie was the Director of the Ullivik Center in Dorval, QC. The Ullivik Centre provide temporary accommodations for Inuit traveling from Nunavik to Montreal, QC for health services. Maggie chaired the working group which oversaw the construction and development of the Ullivik Centre. Under Maggie’s leadership, this complex project was built on time and on budget and today provides critical services in a safe and comfortable facility to Nunavimmiut.

Maggie attended McGill University under the program – Certificate in Health and Social Services Management. She also attended Wilfred Laurier University where she was enrolled in Indigenous Studies. Maggie, who is trilingual (Inuttitut, English, French), is committed to ongoing learning and development in her career.
